We make it a destination!! Waterside is THE place to stay while in Norfolk. Walking distance to Norfolk's shopping, restaurants, arts, entertainment and attractions. Only downsides are poor wifi and restrooms are on the far end of main waterside building. Glad to have Norfolk Waterside back in our destinations the marina unfortunately did not get touched by the renovation magic. Great place to spend the night or a few days. We had 3 dock hands help us into our slip (1 of the 3 people was being trained, so I imagine they usually have a team of 2 dock hands helping boats), they delivered our packages to our boat and gave us useful suggestions on where to get groceries and other tasks done around town. Also on the weekends they really crowd the boats in. Slip assignment was challenging for a 40' sailboat (backed in but needed to rig a warp line to properly exit the assigned slip.
